Why it matters: OTE tells you what you could earn. Attainment tells you how realistic it is.

Ask: “What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?”

Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What's the OTE, and what did the median rep earn last year?

Base is what you're guaranteed. OTE and the median show the upside.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

Job Title: Enterprise Account Executive Job Location: - US Remote — This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States. ABOUT THE COMPANY: Salesloft is building the next era of enterprise revenue — one where teams make confident decisions powered by AI and real signals. By combining our scale, insights, and AI innovation, we're building the industry's first Predictive Revenue System, enabling humans and AI to work together to make smarter decisions and drive consistent growth. With thousands of customers using our platforms every day, we have an unmatched view into how revenue is actually won — the Revenue Context that reveals what happens, when, and with what outcome. This gives us a unique opportunity to transform an entire category and set a new benchmark for how modern revenue teams operate. Join us to help transform how companies around the world run revenue — and build the platform that will guide leading revenue teams into the future. THE OPPORTUNITY: At Salesloft, our Enterprise Account Executives land new business within our largest prospective accounts. You are responsible for running full-cycle enterprise sales motions — from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close — bringing our Predictive Revenue System to enterprise organizations for the first time. This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying closing role focused on new logo acquisition within the enterprise segment. You will build multi-stakeholder relationships within target accounts, run consultative sales cycles, and use our own AI-powered platform to manage your pipeline and forecast with precision. As you build a track record here, this role is a natural path toward Enterprise Account Director responsibility over our most strategic existing accounts. On a day-to-day basis, you will: - Own the full enterprise sales cycle within an assigned book of target accounts — from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close. - Build relationships across multiple stakeholders within target accounts, including senior and C-level executives. - Develop and execute account and territory plans that consistently generate and convert enterprise-segment pipeline. - Run consultative, outcome-focused conversations that connect the Salesloft platform to enterprise-scale revenue impact. - Use AI-surfaced buyer signals, deal-health scoring, and pipeline intelligence to manage your pipeline and forecast accurately. - Coordinate internal resources — Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing — to support your deals through close. This role lives at the heart of how we Lead From the Front: you'll drive enterprise sales cycles proactively, and use AI-native selling tools to manage complexity that would overwhelm a less disciplined approach. And in the spirit of how we are Customer-Inspired, you'll win new business by making enterprise buyers genuinely more successful — not by out-muscling a procurement process. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a driven enterprise seller with a track record of running full-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals and consistently hitting quota. You are comfortable building a business case with a champion and then carrying that case all the way to a C-level decision-maker. You embody what we call Evidence Over Ego — you forecast your pipeline honestly, let buyer signals and deal data drive your strategy, and bring intellectual honesty to where a deal really stands rather than sandbagging or overselling it. You are strategic, resilient, and driven to consistently exceed an enterprise quota. This is the right role if you want to build a career closing the deals that define a category-leading platform's enterprise presence. THE TEAM: The Salesloft Enterprise Sales organization is responsible for hunting and closing net new business. Account Executives here run full-cycle new-business motions within the enterprise segment, working closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success, and alongside Enterprise Account Directors who manage our most strategic existing relationships. The team Moves as One — Account Executives, SEs, and marketing share ownership of new-logo wins and coordinate directly on complex pursuits. And we are relentlessly Customer-Inspired: enterprise deals are won by demonstrating genuine, executive-level value, because our largest customers stay and grow only when the platform makes them measurably more successful. THE SKILL SET: - 5+ years of proven net-new hunting and closing experience in B2B SaaS, with a track record of closing full-cycle, multi-stakeholder deals and consistently meeting or exceeding quota. - Demonstrated ability to prospect into and qualify enterprise-segment accounts, not just work inbound pipeline. - Experience building relationships with senior and C-level stakeholders within large organizations. - Strong account and territory planning skills. - Excellent consultative communication skills, with the ability to lead outcome-focused conversations with senior buyers. - Experience selling a sales engagement, revenue intelligence, or revenue operations platform — Salesloft, Clari, Gong, Outreach, or adjacent tools. - Fluency with AI-powered selling tools — deal-health scoring, buyer-signal prioritization, or pipeline intelligence. - Experience with a structured sales methodology such as MEDDIC or MEDDPICC. BENEFITS: For more information about our company's comprehensive benefits please visit: https://salesloftbenefits.com/ At Salesloft, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone belongs and can thrive.
