Why it matters: OTE tells you what you could earn. Attainment tells you how realistic it is.

Ask: “What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?”

What Commure sells

AI that records doctor visits and writes the chart notes

When a doctor sees a patient, they usually finish the chart themselves after the visit is over. The problem is, all that paperwork piles up and takes time away from patients. Commure records the visit with AI and drops a finished note into the patient's health record, so charting is done when the visit is done.

Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What's the OTE, and what did the median rep earn last year?

Base is what you're guaranteed. OTE and the median show the upside.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

Full posting
At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs. Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.” Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here. The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation. ABOUT THE ROLE You'll own partnerships that bring Commure's AI into more healthcare organizations and extend its technology, data, and content capabilities. Your portfolio will span major EHR vendors; independent software vendors (ISVs); data, technology, content, and embed partners; systems integrators (SIs); resellers; and group purchasing organizations (GPOs). Your mandate is to turn partnerships into revenue and new capabilities. Some will build repeatable pipeline; others will drive 0-to-1 transformation, opening new markets, bringing new products to life, and repositioning Commure in the market. Often the same partner will do both. You'll own each partnership from first conversation to live deployment. You'll start as a hands-on builder, owning partnerships directly and shaping how the function grows. You'll report to the Chief Strategy Officer, one of the founders at Commure, who reports directly to the CEO. You'll have autonomy and company-wide visibility, working across sales, product, engineering, operations, customer success, marketing, legal, and finance. This role is onsite up to 3 days per week at our Mountain View office, San Francisco office, or both, as specified by Commure. Anticipated travel is 10%–25% of working time for partner visits, user groups, conferences, and joint customer meetings. WHAT YOU'LL DO - EHR Alliance Management: Own relationships with major EHR vendors, including executive engagement, joint application programming interface (API) and integration priorities, implementation capacity, and escalations. Align product and engineering commitments with deal and deployment priorities. - Partner-Sourced Pipeline: Drive partner-sourced pipeline and revenue across enterprise and mid-market accounts, with opportunities across Commure's business units. Act as the partner sponsor on deals, coordinating partner support with sales and customer success through live deployment. - Channel, SI, and Reseller Development: Build channel, systems integrator, and reseller partnerships with signed agreements, account coverage plans, and joint sales execution. Define enablement plans, lead ownership, and commercial terms with sales, legal, and finance. Extend the model to GPOs, with legal review of referral and payment terms before launch. - Strategic and Capability Partnerships: Find the ISV, data, technology, content, and Powered by Commure embed partners that expand what Commure can do and where it can compete. Vet each against customer demand and our engineering, implementation, and legal capacity. Then work with sales, product, engineering, legal, and finance to set integration scope, usage rights, and launch criteria before committing. - Partner Events: Build account and meeting plans for EHR user group meetings, industry conferences, and other priority partner events. Work with sales and marketing to turn meetings into qualified opportunities with clear owners and follow-up plans. - Performance and Operating Cadence: Track sourced and assisted pipeline separately, along with conversion, revenue, and live deployments. Maintain the partner lead tracker and give Commure leadership weekly updates on deal stages, partnership activity, blockers, and next actions. WHAT YOU HAVE - Relevant Experience: 4–8 years of total professional experience, including building software-as-a-service (SaaS) or technology partnerships, whether your path ran through channel and alliance sales or through consulting, investment banking, or corporate development. We also welcome product managers and engineers with substantial partnership experience. Healthcare or digital health experience is a plus but not required. - Relationship Building: Ability to earn trust with senior executives and turn relationships into active partnerships. - Executive Communication: Ability to develop models and briefings and deliver compelling product presentations to C-suite executives, boards of directors, and other audiences, virtually and in person. - Technical Fluency: Ability to engage fluently with internal and partner teams on technical topics, including high-level architecture diagrams, APIs, and joint integration plans. - Contracting: Ability to review contracts in depth and co-draft business terms with legal while maintaining strong attention to detail. - AI-Native Workflow: A passion for helping healthcare providers embrace AI and interest in using approved AI tools in your own work, from supporting contract review with legal to developing presentations, interpreting technical diagrams, and managing dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting. - Strategic Judgment: A point of view on where Commure should partner, build, or wait, grounded in a strong read of the healthcare technology and AI landscape (or the curiosity to build one fast). You're comfortable with ambiguity and know how to turn an early partnership idea into a new product, channel, or market.
