Why it matters: OTE tells you what you could earn. Attainment tells you how realistic it is.

Ask: “What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?”

What Commure sells

Visit notes finished when the appointment ends

Doctors often have to type up notes about each patient after the visit is over. Commure records the visit as it happens, and a finished note lands in the patient's record. For a doctor, charting is done when the visit is done.

Ask hard questions

Too much is left unsaid. Make them answer before you invest.

Base is listed but not OTE. Ask what the variable is and how many people hit it.

Says nothing about quota, attainment, deal size, territory or sales cycle.

Mostly self-sourced. Great if you like outbound, rough if you don't.

Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What's the OTE, and what did the median rep earn last year?

Base is what you're guaranteed. OTE and the median show the upside.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

Full posting
At Commure, we're building the AI Operating System for healthcare, the foundation that defines how care is delivered, documented, and financed. Our platform spans the full care journey: Ambient AI and Dictation eliminating documentation burden at the point of care, intelligent Agents automating patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous RCM processing billions in claims, all on a single AI-native platform integrated with 60+ EHRs. Healthcare carries a $1 trillion administrative burden and we're at the center of transforming it. Today, 500,000+ clinicians across 500+ healthcare organizations nationwide trust Commure to handle $25B+ in annual claims and support over 200 million patient interactions. Our latest $70M raise at a $7B valuation reflects the confidence the market has placed in this mission. We've also been named to the Fortune Future 50 list and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Awards for “Overall NLP Company of the Year.” Our team works directly alongside clinicians, not through layers of process, which means the gap between what you build and its impact on patient care is immediate. We move fast, deploy daily, and take full ownership from early thinking to production. If you're energized by hard problems, high stakes, and a team that holds itself to a high bar, you'll find your people here. The future of healthcare is being built right now. Come deliver this transformation. About the Role: You will lead Commure’s Sales Development team and own the pipeline it produces for our enterprise sales organization. You will coach SDRs, build the outbound motion with sales leadership, and decide which accounts, segments, and channels get the team’s time. Our GTM motion is still taking shape, so you will set how the team prospects, qualify opportunities, and hand them off, then adjust as results come in. What You'll Do - Manage, coach, and develop a team of SDRs through weekly 1:1s, call reviews, and live pipeline inspection - Own the team’s pipeline and meeting targets, and report on progress to Sales and Marketing leadership - Build and refine outbound campaigns into health systems, hospitals, and physician groups with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps - Set the account prioritization framework, using intent data and community intelligence tools to point the team at high-intent prospects - Define qualification criteria and the SDR-to-AE handoff, and hold both sides to it - Run experiments across channels (calls, email, social, events, warm intros) and keep what works - Hire, onboard, and ramp new SDRs, including training on Commure’s products and how to talk with health system leaders - Document playbooks, talk tracks, and best practices so new reps ramp faster - Manage tooling and data hygiene across CRM, sequencing, and enrichment platforms - Join senior-level conversations with prospects when a deal needs it What You Have - 7+ years of experience in sales development, with at least 3–5 years managing SDRs or BDRs (or a strong record as a team lead moving into management) - A record of building and scaling outbound pipeline, with results you can quantify - Experience coaching reps to consistent, repeatable performance over multiple quarters - Fluency in outbound tooling: Salesforce, a sequencing platform, intent data, and enrichment tools - Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to speak credibly to health system executives - A data-driven approach to funnel analysis, with the ability to spot where conversion drops and fix it - Interest in AI and in using it to make your team more efficient - Comfort in an unstructured environment where you build the process as you go - Experience selling into healthcare or health IT is a plus Please be aware that all official communication from us will come exclusively from email addresses ending in @commure.com http://commure.com.
