Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What are the base and the OTE for this role?

No point investing hours before you know the number.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

› When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

Revenue leaders have more execution tools than ever, but generating pipeline feels harder. Channels cost more and return less. Time and budget go into processes that stay broken. That's because GTM is won or lost before execution begins. Teams build world-class execution firepower, then aim it in the wrong direction - off data that's generic, surface-level, and shared by every competitor. The answer was never more data. It was the right intelligence. So we built it. Goodfit defines, sources, and grades every account in your market. Revenue teams know exactly what to target, and why, and can commit resources with conviction. ----------------------------------------------- You'll be in good company. Goodfit was founded by experienced revenue leaders; Harrison, CEO, scaled Paddle to $100M and a $1.4B valuation. Adam, CRO, built the commercial function from $0 to $100M. Aleks, Co-Founder and CPO, invented the data engine that runs our GTM intelligence. Backed by leading VCs including Notion Capital, we raised a $13M Series A in 2025, and have big growth plans for 2026 and beyond - join us! ----------------------------------------------- The Role We’re hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to win six-figure deals with large revenue organisations. You’ll navigate multiple senior stakeholders and complex buying processes while keeping several opportunities moving at once. This isn’t a role built around working two huge deals a year. You’ll report to our CRO, Adam, and work alongside our AEs, Account Managers and Solutions team. You’ll sell to senior leaders, often across different functions, geographies and time zones. What you’ll do: - Build and manage a pipeline of six-figure opportunities, progressing several deals at any one time. - Map each buying organisation: who decides, who influences, who signs, and who can stop the deal. - Build relationships across the buying group, understanding the commercial value for each stakeholder and how they make decisions together. - Lead complex sales processes that may involve RFPs, tenders and procurement. - Bring a strategic point of view to customer conversations while creating momentum and maintaining a high level of activity. - Coordinate the right people at Goodfit to move opportunities forward. - Forecast accurately and flag risks early. - Feed what you learn into our enterprise playbook and positioning. ----------------------------------------------- Requirements - Strategic thinking - you understand the customer's organisation, priorities, politics and decision structure. - Stakeholder mapping - identifying who cares, who decides, who influences, and who can kill the deal. - Executive presence - holding a credible conversation with a CRO, VP Sales or VP RevOps without defaulting to product features. - Business case creation - quantify why the customer should change, and why they should change now. - Patience without passivity - enterprise deals move slowly, but you keep creating momentum. - Political awareness - you know enterprise deals are rarely lost on product or price alone. Internal politics, competing priorities and organisational risk matter enormously. - Complex deal control - you can run legal queries, security compliance, procurement admin, implementation planning and commercial negotiation at the same time. - Internal leadership - act as the CEO of the opportunity, coordinating our senior leadership, product, technical and legal teams. - Negotiation maturity - know when to push, when to trade and when to hold firm. - Comfort with ambiguity - The route to a £300k deal is rarely as obvious as the route to a £30k deal. Who you are: - Several years experience closing complex, six-figure B2B SaaS deals involving multiple stakeholders, not just large contracts with a single buyer. - A track record of managing multiple live opportunities at once, rather than a small number of very large deals each year. - Experience in a startup or scale-up on a similar journey - Strong sales fundamentals and the ability to explain, deal by deal, how you built consensus and won. - Confidence working with senior stakeholders across functions and, where needed, across geographies. We’re particularly interested in people who have moved from mid-market into larger, more complex deals and retained the pace and ownership that requires. Nice to have: Experience selling to revenue leadership, or selling data, GTM tooling, sales intelligence or RevOps software. ----------------------------------------------- Benefits What we offer: - Competitive base salary and OTE - 38 days annual leave incl. bank holidays - Pet friendly London HQ with gym & showers - EMI Share Option scheme for every employee - Generous pension with salary sacrifice option - Enhanced Parental Leave & Return-to-Work - Private Health Insurance - Subsidised Gym Memberships - Cycle To Work Scheme - £1,500 Learning & Development Budget - Quarterly offsites with the team - Regular socials & events We are prioritising hybrid candidates for this role, and benefit from coming together several days a week in our London HQ [Shoreditch/Liverpool Street]. ----------------------------------------------- Inclusion at Goodfit Goodfit is an equal opportunity employer and we strongly encourage people of all ages, colour, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and non-binary people, veterans, parents, people with disabilities, and neurodivergent people to apply. We're happy to make any reasonable adjustments that will help you feel more confident throughout the process, please don't hesitate to let us know how we can help. Research shows that some candidates, particularly women and people from underrepresented groups, may hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every listed qualification. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly.
