Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What are the base and the OTE for this role?

No point investing hours before you know the number.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

› When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

Stitch is the global leader in helping brands drive CRM performance through Braze and Databricks. We work with Fortune 1000 brands to design and execute martech-driven solutions and lifecycle marketing strategies that drive meaningful outcomes. Our fast-growing team spans the US, UK, and Canada. We’re actively building the best customer relationship marketing (CRM) consultancy in the world. Not the biggest—the best. We’re looking for teammates who are energized by this challenge. About This Role: As a Client Partner at Stitch, you’ll own a Book of Business (BoB) of established clients with meaningful opportunities for continued growth. You’ll be accountable for retention and expansion by understanding the outcomes each client needs to achieve, connecting Stitch’s work to measurable value, and identifying new ways to advance the partnership through campaign operations, data and analytics, loyalty programs, AI-enabled capabilities, creative services, and other areas of Stitch expertise. You’ll act as the face of Stitch for your clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in marketing technology and processes, especially leveraging our deep partnership with Braze and other cutting-edge martech tools. Your ability to understand evolving client needs, anticipate challenges, and propose innovative solutions will enable your clients to unlock the full potential of their marketing efforts. This role requires commercial drive, strategic curiosity, and a strong understanding of marketing technology and operations. You’ll own your client relationships end-to-end, drive predictable revenue growth, build connections across multiple stakeholders, and partner closely with Delivery to ensure Stitch’s work remains aligned with client priorities and creates measurable value. The role requires lifecycle and relationship marketing experience to connect client customer-engagement priorities to the right strategies, technology, and Stitch services. What You’ll Do - Serve as a trusted advisor by bringing strategic thinking, a clear point of view, and actionable recommendations across marketing, marketing technology, and marketing operations. - Own renewals, expansions, and commercial performance across your BoB, developing quarterly growth plans that connect client outcomes, value realization, and qualified expansion opportunities. - Establish and maintain clear business outcomes for each account, connecting Stitch’s work to measurable client value and using those outcomes to guide account planning, client value discussions, QBRs, and expansion strategy. - Translate client business goals into clear, integrated roadmaps that bring together data, creative, strategy, and technology components. - Lead the pricing, scoping, and negotiation of Statements of Work in partnership with Delivery, ensuring commercial commitments align with client needs, agreed scope, the delivery model, governing agreements, and financial requirements. - Be the main point of contact and trusted advisor for client stakeholders at multiple levels, building deep, multi-threaded relationships across our client’s marketing, product, data, and technology teams. - Lead client meetings, QBRs, and onsite sessions with clear agendas, defined outcomes, active participation from the right stakeholders, and actionable follow-up. - Monitor client environments to identify early signals of changing needs, risks, or strategic shifts, and proactively drive resolution. - Work closely with Delivery Directors and other internal partners to ensure an aligned understanding of project health, resource allocation, margins, and forecasts. - Keep Delivery members fully informed and aligned so your clients experience a coordinated and seamless partnership. - Build and maintain strong fluency in Braze, customer engagement, and the broader martech ecosystem to anticipate client needs and connect them to the right Stitch capabilities. - Support peer onboarding and capability development by sharing effective practices in commercial engagement, pipeline management, stakeholder communication, and account leadership. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Client Partner organization by helping to develop playbooks, sales frameworks, and effective sales motions through practical insights and repeatable approaches. - Share insights, successful patterns, and lessons across the ECP-led portfolio to strengthen collective performance and scale effective practices. What Does Success Look Like In This Role? - You confidently lead client conversations with a clear point of view, defined outcomes, and actionable next steps. Clients experience you as a trusted advisor who understands their business and connects marketing technology decisions to meaningful business value. - You consistently maintain pipeline coverage of at least 1.5× across your BoB. You identify opportunities before clients ask, develop clear value hypotheses, and convert strong ideas into measurable growth for both the client and Stitch. - You establish clear business outcomes across your accounts and use them to guide account strategy, demonstrate value, protect renewals, and shape expansion opportunities. - You navigate evolving client environments with confidence, guide multi-stakeholder decisions, and bring together marketing, data, creative, strategy, and technology into cohesive account plans. - You embody Stitch’s Common Threads by building lasting relationships, seeking solutions, taking the lead, and maintaining high standards in every client and team interaction. Requirements What We’re Looking For: - 6–10 years of experience managing client relationships and driving growth within martech consulting, digital strategy, or marketing technology environments. - Required experience developing, advising on, or supporting lifecycle and relationship marketing programs, with a working understanding of customer journeys, segmentation, personalization, and cross-channel engagement across onboarding, retention, loyalty, and reactivation. - A track record of successfully owning a BoB and driving predictable revenue growth within existing accounts. - Experience and confidence in leading meetings with all levels of marketing organizations with clear structure, outcomes, and next steps. - Demonstrated financial fluency, including pricing strategy, forecasting accuracy, and margin management. - A growth mindset and willingness to take ownership and drive outcomes for the team’s success, not just personal wins - Strong understanding of martech (Braze experience preferred), with a commitment to continuous learning. - An ability to move quickly, prioritize effectively, and adapt to our rapidly changing and growing market. - Experience developing and presenting account growth strategies, solution recommendations, and business cases that connect client needs to measurable value and investment decisions. - Resourceful problem-solving skills and the ability to mobilize the right people and capabilities around evolving client needs. - Demonstrated ability to balance client advocacy with commercial discipline, including sound judgment around scope, pricing, margin, and contractual commitments. - Ability to travel up to 25% and must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance - 401k with company match - Flexible PTO policy - Monthly tech stipend - Paid parental leave - In-person onboarding experience at our HQ in Indianapolis, Indiana - Mental well-being support
