The job
- What you'd do
- Help big companies with 3,000 to 8,000 staff, mostly Fortune 1000 firms, decide on and buy WRITER's AI software, working mainly with leads who come in through trials and demo requests. You'll also find some of your own new customers through outreach.
- What you'd sell
Helps big companies build AI that uses their own data
When a big company wants AI to help its staff, it has to decide which information the AI should draw from. The problem is, AI that isn't tied to the company's real data can give answers nobody can rely on. Writer builds AI grounded in a company's own data, so staff get answers based on the information the company actually has.

Questions to ask on the first call
Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.
- 1.
What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?
OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.
- 2.
What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?
Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.
- 3.
Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?
A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.
- 4.
Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?
Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.
- 5.
What are the base and the OTE for this role?

📐 About this role
We’re looking for a collaborative and builder-oriented enterprise sales rep experienced at helping prospective customers at large companies navigate the evaluation, business case development, and procurement of transformative technology.
Your objective will be to help convert enterprise prospects (3K-8K FTE, although tilted towards Fortune 1000) who are active in our trials or who request a sales demo from our website or within our product. While most of your pipeline will come inbound, you'll also be responsible for generating pipeline from ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts within your account set.
Your positivity, sense of curiosity, and ability to create champions from early adopters in the AI space will help shape our entire culture.
This is a hybrid role based out of our London hub. You'll be reporting to our RVP.

- Collect and share product insights that help product identify both scalable and unscalable ways to educate and activate the user base on the product
- Lead champions through their internal budgeting, legal, security, and procurement processes (this is an evangelical sale where there is rarely an existing line item for the solution)
⭐️ Is this you?
- 5+ years in a B2B SaaS closing role focused on Enterprise (6k+ employees); extra points for experience selling to leadership in marketing, brand, product at Fortune 1000 companies

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sales process: you are thoughtful about how to make sales repeatable for yourself
- Comfortable asking the tough questions, working cross-departmentally, and working under high pressure
- Record of building strong and lasting customer relationships
- Extremely organized and self-motivated; a detailed note-taker
- Knowledge of editorial processes a huge plus: if you edited your high school newspaper or majored in English Literature, can you pretty please apply?
