Why it matters: OTE tells you what you could earn. Attainment tells you how realistic it is.

Ask: “What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?”

What AirOps sells

Helps brands get picked by AI search tools

More shoppers now ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to pick a product or service for them. A brand that isn't part of the AI's answer never gets considered. AirOps helps brands get found and recommended in those AI answers, so they stay in the running.

Red flags

None spotted.

Green flags

  • Publishes OTE. It tells you the on-target earnings up front. Most postings don't.
  • SDR or inbound support. You won't be building all of your own pipeline from zero.

Based only on what the posting says. Flags are a starting point for your first call, not a final judgment.

Questions to ask on the first call

Built from what this posting leaves out. How they answer tells you as much as what they say.

  1. 1.

What percentage of fully ramped reps hit quota last year?

OTE is what you could earn. This is how likely you are to earn it.

  2. 2.

What percentage of reps on the team have been here more than 18 months?

Tenure shows whether people stay long enough to get paid.

  3. 3.

Has the comp plan changed in the last 12 to 18 months? What changed?

A plan that changes every year means the goalposts keep moving.

  4. 4.

Who sits with reps and reviews calls each week?

Coaching is often what's behind a good or bad attainment number.

  5. 5.

What's the base, and how is the rest paid out?

OTE without a base doesn't tell you what you can count on.

  6. 6.

Why is this role open? Did someone leave, or is it new?

New headcount is growth. A replacement means someone left. Ask why.

When the offer comes

Save these for later. They land better once they've said yes to you.

  1. 1.

Can I see the full comp plan in writing, including clawbacks and accelerators?

What's in writing is what gets paid. Read it before you sign.

  2. 2.

Can I see the actual comp distribution for the team last year, not just the OTE?

The spread shows what most reps really take home. OTE is just the target.

  3. 3.

I'd be walking away from earned commission to join. Is there room for a sign-on bonus to help cover that?

Leaving money behind is a fair reason to ask. The worst answer is no.

ABOUT AIROPS AirOps is the full-service platform for brand growth in the age of AI search. As consumers shift from traditional search engines to platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, the entire ruleset of growth is being rewritten. Buyers now rely on agents to discover, recommend, and purchase products and services for them. If your brand isn't part of the answer, you aren't in the running. Our platform offers everything a brand needs to get found, recommended, and earn trust. We work with category leaders, including teams at Ramp, Chime, Airbnb, ServiceNow, and Rippling, to drive visibility and accelerate growth from AI search. Backed by Greylock, Unusual Ventures, Wing VC, and Founder Collective, we're headquartered in San Francisco, New York, and Montevideo. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Enterprise Account Manager on the strategic New Verticals team, you will own client strategy, project management, and service delivery for AirOps' new fully managed Offsite product & service — helping enterprise brands win the third-party mentions that drive AI search visibility. You will be an early team member of our services arm and will have an opportunity to shape how we deliver this new offering for enterprise clients. As the strategic partner and day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of enterprise services clients, you’ll translate customer goals into a high-performing offsite program: publisher strategy, placement execution, performance reporting, and ongoing optimization. This is a high-ownership, client-facing role where you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on project management to drive measurable outcomes for the brands we work with. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own a portfolio of enterprise Offsite services accounts end-to-end: onboarding, strategy, project management, execution, and reporting. - Deeply understand each client's competitive landscape, target topics, and AI search goals to build a tailored publisher and placement strategy. - Lead onboarding for new clients to ensure efficiency in time to value. Work cross-functionally across the organization to direct resources needed for account setup and maintenance. - Coordinate internally across operations teams to manage timelines, and dependencies, ensuring deliverables are delivered on time and to a high standard. - Run regular bi-weekly client check-ins and QBRs with clients — communicating progress, surfacing insights, and presenting strategic marketing recommendations to enterprise stakeholders with clarity and confidence. - Monitor and report on campaign performance. Turn data into a clear story. Navigate ambiguity on reporting for a new and developing business line. - Use the AirOps platform insights and analytics to guide client decisions and demonstrate the value of the Offsite program. - Proactively manage project scope, client expectations, and delivery risks. - Serve as the voice of the customer internally — feeding back to the product team on product gaps and what's working in the market. - Help define and refine the playbooks, onboarding flows, and reporting templates that make the Offsite service scalable. WHO YOU ARE - 3+ years of account management experience, including at least 1 year at a marketing agency, marketing technology company, or in a similar marketing-focused role. Experience serving enterprise clients and supporting marketing strategy and reporting for stakeholders such as CMOs, Growth Leads, and SEO Managers is required. - Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and the ability to engage confidently with marketing leaders about their goals, performance, and priorities. Familiarity with AI search, SEO/AEO, or digital PR is a plus; curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential. - Strong communicator and relationship-builder: you're trusted by enterprise clients, comfortable navigating multiple stakeholders, proactive in your outreach, and can translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives. - Operationally sharp: you keep projects on track, manage multiple work streams simultaneously, and hold yourself and others accountable to timelines and quality. - Analytical enough to dig into performance data, identify what's working, and make a clear recommendation. - Entrepreneurial mindset: this product is still being built — you'll help shape the playbook, not just follow it. - Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments; you default to action and figure things out as you go. OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES 1. Extreme Ownership 2. Quality 3. Curiosity and Play 4. Make Our Customers Heroes 5. Respectful Candor BENEFITS - Equity in a fast-growing startup - Competitive benefits package tailored to your location - Flexible time off policy - Parental Leave - A fun-loving and (just a bit) nerdy team that loves to move fast!
