Business Development Manager

Taktile empowers financial institutions to transform into truly AI-native organizations. We’re growing rapidly with enterprise customers across banks and insurance companies, and we’re looking for an Business Development Manager to help us build and manage the BD team, set up processes, and drive the pipeline generation engine needed to support our next stage of growth. ABOUT THE ROLE As Business Development Manager, you’ll lead a team of approximately 10 Business Development representatives across Berlin, London, and New York. Working closely with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers organized into regional pods, you’ll play a key role in generating new opportunities with enterprise financial institutions. Our enterprise motion goes beyond selling a single point solution to one buyer. Taktile’s platform can support multiple use cases and teams within an institution, so creating opportunities means understanding shared priorities and bringing the right people into the conversation—from business leaders to risk, technology, and operations teams. You’ll help BDs turn that broader opportunity into focused, relevant conversations that build momentum across an account. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both people and performance. You’ll take ownership of developing the team’s capabilities, raising the bar on execution, and building a strong, high-performing culture. You’ll partner closely with Sales leadership to shape our go-to-market strategy, improve how we engage senior decision-makers, and establish the standards and practices that will allow the team to scale. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Lead and develop a distributed team: Manage and coach approximately 10 BDs across Berlin, London, and New York, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Raise the bar on BD fundamentals: Establish high standards across prospecting, cold calling, outbound messaging, qualification, discovery, and follow-up. Coach the team through hands-on feedback, call reviews, and structured development plans. - Drive pipeline generation: Own the team’s contribution to pipeline growth, set clear goals, monitor performance, and continuously improve conversion rates and productivity. - Partner closely with Account Executives: Build account-level plans together, aligning on priority use cases, key stakeholders, tailored messaging, and next steps. Ensure BDs contribute to a coordinated enterprise sales motion, not just individual meetings. - Build opportunities across enterprise accounts: Coach the team to identify relevant business challenges, map decision-makers and influencers across functions, and develop relationships beyond a single contact. Help BDs connect a clear initial use case to broader platform value and sustain engagement throughout sales cycles that can span six months to two years. - Build executive-level engagement: Develop a thoughtful approach to engaging senior decision-makers through targeted outreach, industry events, executive meetings, and other high-impact touchpoints. - Build scalable processes: Introduce the playbooks, coaching frameworks, performance metrics, and operating rhythms needed to professionalize the function and support continued growth across regions. - Champion AI-powered ways of working: Use AI tools in your day-to-day work and help the team adopt them effectively to improve research, personalization, productivity, and outbound execution. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR - Proven people leadership experience: You have managed and developed a Business Development or Sales Development team, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment. You know how to motivate people, address performance challenges, and build a strong team culture. - Strong BD fundamentals: You have a deep understanding of outbound prospecting, cold calling, messaging, qualification, and pipeline generation. You can translate best practices into practical coaching that improves performance. - Experience with a multi-stakeholder enterprise motion: You’ve helped teams create opportunities for a platform or solution that serves multiple use cases and stakeholders—not just a single product sold to one buyer. You know how to map an account, develop champions, engage business and technical stakeholders, and build momentum through longer sales cycles. You can coach BDs to make that process focused and practical. - Experience in financial services: You have worked with enterprise customers in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry, and understand how to navigate complex organizations and engage senior stakeholders. - A coaching-first mindset: You enjoy being close to the details, listening to calls, reviewing outreach, and helping people improve through actionable feedback. You balance high standards with empathy and clear expectations. - A data-driven approach: You know how to use funnel metrics, activity data, and conversion rates to identify bottlenecks, prioritize improvements, and make informed decisions. - An AI-forward mindset: You’re comfortable experimenting with AI tools and passionate about helping teams integrate them into their daily workflows in meaningful, practical ways. - Strong cross-functional collaboration: You can build effective partnerships with Account Executives, Sales leadership, and other teams to ensure everyone is aligned around shared goals. - Comfort operating across locations: You’re happy to travel between our offices and believe that in-person collaboration is valuable when building relationships, coaching teams, and driving change. WHY JOIN TAKTILE? - Make a meaningful impact: Business Development plays a central role in creating new opportunities and supporting Taktile’s continued growth. - Build and transform a team: Shape the next chapter of our BD function by developing talent, raising performance standards, and establishing a scalable operating model. - Join at an exciting stage: Be part of a fast-growing company following its Series C funding round, with ambitious plans to expand its presence in financial services. - Work at the intersection of AI and financial services: Help leading financial institutions rethink decision-making with AI in a market with significant room for innovation. - Shape the future of BD: Bring AI into the team’s daily workflows and help define a more effective, technology-enabled approach to enterprise pipeline generation. OUR OFFER - Work with colleagues that lift you up, challenge you, celebrate you and help you grow. We come from many different backgrounds, but what we have in common is the desire to operate at the very top of our fields. If you are similarly capable, caring, and driven, you'll find yourself at home here. - Experience a truly flat hierarchy and communicate directly with founding team members. Get to know and leverage our network of leading tech investors and advisors around the globe. - Receive a top-of-market equity and cash compensation package. - Get access to a self-development budget you can use to e.g. attend conferences, buy books or take classes. - Receive a new Apple MacBook Pro, as well as meaningful home office set-up.   OUR STANCE - We're eager to meet talented and driven candidates regardless of whether they tick all the boxes. We're looking for someone who will add to our culture, not just fit within it. We strongly encourage individuals from groups traditionally underestimated and underrepresented in tech to apply. - We seek to actively recognize and combat racism, sexism, ableism and ageism. We embrace and support all gender identities and expressions, and celebrate love in its many forms.
